When you list an item you will be required to input a sale price and original value. A suggested rental price will then be automatically generated. You are free to adjust this price within the set parameters. Control of pricing is completely at your discretion. We take up to a 50% service fee from all rental revenue (less certain costs such as cleaning, repairs and delivery). An item can be rented out and worn approx. 20-30 times before it is at the end of its life cycle on Style Carousel. Well performing pieces earn 20-30 times the rental price which is typically set at 10%-20% of the retail price. After deduction of all fees, Lenders earn about 70% of the retail price at the end of the item’s rental life cycle. The pre-loved item can then be sold, up-cycled or donated. Please note that these are not guarantees of rental performance or income, simply an example of a situation for well performing pieces if successfully rented out for a complete rental life cycle on the platform.

Under our fully managed account service your items will be lent out and manage by our platform free of charge. We will collect your items for free on your preferred date. All listing, rentals and sales will be handled by our dedicated team. We will determine the pricing for your listings and you will not receive any notifications, lending duties or rental income under this service. Storage of your items while they are lent through our platform are free of charge provided they are lent out at least once every three months, otherwise reasonable storage fees as listed below may be charged.

If your item eventually gets sold through the platform, the proceeds will be paid to your nominated account.

Yes. Storage of your items are free of charge provided they are rented out at least once every 3 months. Otherwise monthly storage fees apply at $20/item billed quarterly or such other price quoted to you at and from the time we accept your items for storage. A surcharge may apply for the storage of large, bulky and other special items as determined by us at our sole discretion. Storage of winter items, furs and boots carry a monthly surcharge of $30 per item. You may request the return of your item at any time in accordance with our terms. We reserve the right to refuse to store your item(s) at any time and at your cost.

You may retrieve any item of yours from Style Carousel at anytime, provided they show an ‘Available’ status at the time of your request. A $100 handling fee per item will be charged along with courier costs, if any. Your item will be returned to you same or next working day from when your request is received or made available for self-collection.

Yes, you can view your items in real-time as items get added to your circular Style Carousel boutique. Simply type in your URL www.stylecarousel.com/[username] or visit your profile through your user dashboard.

Yes, currently borrowers may purchase items available on the platform after their first rental. If a borrower decides to keep your item, they agree to purchase it at the sale price set out in your listing.
